Hello and welcome to the official website of Chris Jones Boxing Academy.

The Chris Jones Boxing Academy has finally been launched in Swansea, and is the first Boxing Academy in Wales that rewards its participants with Boxing Awards accredited by the Welsh Amateur Boxing Association.

Hosted by fully qualified, enhanced CRB approved, energetic and fully committed coaches, the Boxing Academy introduces children to the noble art of Amateur Boxing through non-contact boxing techniques, fitness exercises and social inclusion games, with plenty of fun involvement all delivering a good attitude and respect for others.

Amateur Boxing is currently seeing a massive growth in participation and has currently been re-introduced to the School PE National Curriculum. This is down to Boxing’s current role models such as Joe Calzaghe, Enzo Maccarenelli, Ricky Hatton and Amir Khan and also the success of Team GB amateur boxers at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Also, Boxing is a sport that can teach you the basic skills for life including self-defence, social inclusion, and help maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

what will my child achieve?

Many parents are sceptical about allowing their child to take part in a combat sport. Boxing has received a bad press by many sources of media a few years ago, but is now introduced back into the School PE Curriculum, with backing from many teachers and parents alike. The Chris Jones Boxing Academy, teaches the skills, techniques and movement of boxing, while enhancing children’s speed, co-ordination, social wellbeing, motor skills, attitude and confidence.

How much is all this going to cost?

Chris Jones Boxing Academy has a pricing structure that is very competitive with many martial arts and other sports clubs in the Swansea area. The cost of each session varies between £2.50 - £3.00 (depending on age).

There is also an Annual Membership fee of £15.00 per year. This then covers the child with full insurance cover, registration with the Welsh Amateur Boxing Association, a Chris Jones Boxing Academy T-Shirt and Membership Card. There will be no grading fees or extra compulsory courses that need to be attended.
